Special Appeal to help match grant
Archbishop McNicholas High School places the highest priority on the safety and security of our students, faculty and staff, and visitors to our school.  Just as we continually look for new ways to deliver instruction, better motivate our students, and improve our strong academic programs, so we also seek opportunities to advance our security plans.
Currently our comprehensive Emergency Operating Plan with the State of Ohio is a complete design for addressing safety and security on our campus. At the end of 2017, McNicholas applied for and was fortunate to be one of only six schools in the state to receive a grant for safety improvement from the Ohio Department of Education. The grant will allow McNicholas to improve upon this plan with exterior doors and state-of-the-art security equipment for keyless entry and video surveillance.  This development enabled us to accelerate our timeline for implementation of these security enhancements.
The grant for approximately $45,000 must be matched by McNicholas HighSchool and used by the end of this fiscal year. Currently, McNicholas has about $8,000 from Annual Fund donations to the facility fund and is looking to generate the additional $37,000 match with private donations and gifts to this year's McNick at Night Special Appeal.
Every dollar you donate will help McNicholas secure the maximum grant allotment for safety improvement.  Please consider a generous bid at this year's McNick at Night Special Appeal.
