Alumni Association

The McNicholas Alumni Association is committed to helping you stay connected and engaged with your alma mater for life. As Rockets spread around the country, across the globe, and across decades, we want you to continue to feel connected and to know that you always have a home here at McNicholas.

We are focused on creating and implementing an enhanced Alumni Engagement plan. As we approach 2026 and the school’s 75th anniversary, our focus is on cultivating meaningful connections with alumni and creating timely, relevant initiatives that will support our ongoing growth and strengthen our ability to serve both our alumni and alma mater.

Join us in connecting with each other. Join us in preserving the rich tradition of McNicholas. Join us in giving back to our community and ensuring that today’s Rockets leave the halls of McNicholas knowing that they are part of a strong, proud, brilliant community of alumni. The Alumni Association Board meets monthly on the third Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. Meetings are typically held in the Fanning Library.

Sports Leagues

Join fellow Rocket alums in some friendly competition! Want to join or start a league? Contact the Alumni Office to get the ball rolling.

Men’s Golf

This men’s league plays at the Legendary Run Golf Course. The league is currently full with 32 golfers, but we are always looking for people who would be willing to sub. Subs play for free and are more likely to secure a spot in the league as they become available. The league starts in April and we play for 19 weeks. The cost of the golf league is $450 for the season.

Men’s Basketball

This league plays at McNicholas. Each team must have at least three Rocket Alumni, and two Rockets must be on the court at all times. For more information or to secure your spot, contact Coach Tim Monahan ’96.

Military Memorial Committee

Join an active group volunteers whose mission is to honor the McNicholas alumni who have served our country in the armed forces. This dedicated group cares for and maintains the Military Memorial and provides scholarships for incoming freshmen.

McNicholas Military Memorial

The McNicholas Military Memorial honors all McNicholas alumni who have served in the Armed Forces and pays special tribute to five graduates who gave their lives in the line of duty: Marty Mugavin '65, Greg Iding '65, Joe Berning '69, Chuck Kiser '85, and Nick Erdy '02. We thank you for the sacrifices you endured to protect us and our freedom.

Rocket Prayers

The McNick community prays together.

As a faith community, we pray for one another, in times of challenge and in times of celebration. If you have an intention you would like lifted in prayer by the McNicholas community, simply send your request to this email.

The intentions will be written in our book in the Chapel, to be offered at Mass each Friday morning, and prayed for by our Rocket community.
