Science National Honor Society members provide science-related service

Science National Honor Society members provide science-related service

Thirteen students were inducted to the Science National Honor Society in September and have spent the school year providing science-related service, including providing feedback on science fair planning, judging the McNicholas science fair, and judging the St. Bernadette science fair. 

A special thank you to senior Liz Granlund who took COVID-safe individual photos of the inductees who were able to attend the ceremony in the fall and then Photoshopped them together for a group picture that did not require masks. Science Department Chair, Mrs. Regina Goines, said, “This is the perfect example of using technology to solve a problem!”

The SNHS inductees are Megan Wesselkamper, Madeline Daley, Zach Miller, Elizabeth Granlund, Anna Rahner, Isabella Dawson, Wesley Richmond, Nathan Braig, Lauren Cox, Connor Huss, Grace Carville, Gretchen Nieberding, and Alaina Sharp.

    Where Art Comes Alive: McNicholas Students Explore Italy, France, and Belgium

    Some of life's greatest lessons cannot be found in a textbook. They are discovered standing beneath the ancient arches of the Colosseum, gazing up at masterpieces in Vatican City, or watching the sun set along the Seine River. This spring, 43 McNicholas students experienced those moments firsthand, returning home with a deeper appreciation for art, history, culture, and the world around them.

    A Friendship Without Borders: McNicholas Celebrates Its First Sister School Exchange with Argentina

    Nine McNicholas students traveled to Buenos Aires this summer for the school's first Sister School Exchange with Instituto Nuestra Señora de Las Nieves, building on friendships formed when Argentine students visited McNicholas earlier this year. Through living with host families, attending classes, and experiencing Argentina's rich culture and history, students discovered that the most meaningful lessons come from stepping beyond their comfort zones and embracing connections that transcend borders.
