National Honor Society Inducts 47 New Members

National Honor Society Inducts 47 New Members

The Altiora Chapter of the National Honor Society inducted 47 new members during its annual induction ceremony held on Thursday, January 29.

The ceremony featured guest speaker Jack Castleman '12, who shared reflections on the lasting impact of McNicholas and encouraged inductees to continue leading through service and integrity.

The National Honor Society recognizes the achievements of junior and senior students who excel academically and fill leadership roles in the school and community. Students must maintain a 90 average and submit to an application process that assesses their scholarship, leadership, character, and commitment to service.

NHS members tutor students in the McNicholas community and complete service projects that benefit the community beyond McNicholas.

Where Art Comes Alive: McNicholas Students Explore Italy, France, and Belgium

Some of life's greatest lessons cannot be found in a textbook. They are discovered standing beneath the ancient arches of the Colosseum, gazing up at masterpieces in Vatican City, or watching the sun set along the Seine River. This spring, 43 McNicholas students experienced those moments firsthand, returning home with a deeper appreciation for art, history, culture, and the world around them.

A Friendship Without Borders: McNicholas Celebrates Its First Sister School Exchange with Argentina

Nine McNicholas students traveled to Buenos Aires this summer for the school's first Sister School Exchange with Instituto Nuestra Señora de Las Nieves, building on friendships formed when Argentine students visited McNicholas earlier this year. Through living with host families, attending classes, and experiencing Argentina's rich culture and history, students discovered that the most meaningful lessons come from stepping beyond their comfort zones and embracing connections that transcend borders.
