McNicholas teachers featured as 'Role Models of Faith' in Catholic Telegraph

McNicholas is proud of and grateful for theology teachers Mrs. Mary Beth Sandmann '79 and Mr. Jeff Hutchinson-Smyth '94 who were featured in the August issue of The Catholic Telegraph as “Role Models of Faith.”

Graduates of McNicholas with over 50 years of combined experience serving the McNicholas community, Mrs. Sandmann and Mr. Hutchinson-Smyth teach, organize retreats, and support the faith journeys of our students in countless other ways. Mr. Hutchinson-Smyth is also the Director of Mission & Ministry and Mrs. Sandmann co-leads faculty and staff adult faith development.

Principal David Mueller said, “Jeff and Mary Beth radiate a contagious love for Christ and the Church. Students admire them as trustworthy and authentic faith witnesses who both level with students about the truths of the faith and inspire them to grow in faith. Both invite students to grow in relationship with Jesus through prayer and the sacraments, and also by following Jesus’ example of serving others and implementing Catholic Social Teaching.”
