McNicholas names Dr. Stanfield as President

McNicholas is pleased to announce the appointment of the school’s President, Denver “Denny” T. Stanfield, MD.

Dr. Stanfield is a highly respected and nationally recognized Sports Medicine Orthopedic Surgeon. He has been affiliated with McNicholas High School for more than two decades, serving as a team physician beginning in 1995. He has also been actively involved in countless volunteer activities and fundraising efforts at the school, including playing an integral role in the highly successful “Project Paradise.” He and his wife, Joyce, have two children who graduated from McNicholas, Kassidy ‘07 and Dillon ‘12. Dr. Stanfield also served in the U.S. Navy for four years and is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati.

As President, Dr. Stanfield will serve as the chief executive officer and oversee the school’s growth and overall vision, cultivating and expanding funding resources and relationships, fostering financial stewardship, and advancing the implementation of the Mission 26 Strategic Plan. He will serve as the outward-facing institution builder alongside Principal Dave Mueller who serves as the inward-facing champion of teaching, learning, and student-centered practices.

Through collaboration, creativity, and our strong leadership providing guidance, we can continue to advance all aspects of the school to ensure excellence for our students and their families. McNick is full of brilliant young adults eager to make a difference by serving God and the world around them. I’m grateful to be a part of such an extraordinary community.”

Dr. Stanfield will transition into his role as President on July 1.
