Athletic Facilities
Each year, tens of thousands of athletes and fans visit our state-of-the-art athletic complex, home of the McNicholas Rockets.
Our outdoor athletic complex, affectionately known as Paradise among the McNicholas community, provides our student athletes with the finest on-campus facilities and resources.
Nestled behind our school and convent buildings on our nearly 48-acres, our outdoor facility rivals the convenience, aesthetics, and capabilities of any high school facility in the country. In addition to athletic training and competitions, Paradise has a long history as a community-gathering space that dates back to the founding of our campus in the late 1800s.
Paradise is home to the baseball and softball fields, Penn Station Stadium, and two additional practice fields, as well as The Pavilion, the perfect spot for community get-togethers before and after school events and games.
In addition to Paradise, our two gymnasiums, weight room, and a handful of off-campus facilities provide a first-class athletic complex for our hard-working athletes.

Penn Station Stadium Lights Schedule
Also known as The Penn, our state-of-the-art stadium features synthetic turf and an all-weather track. In addition to its fixed seating capacity of 2,250, The Penn can also host an additional capacity of approximately 3,500 spectators throughout the concourse that surrounds the field. The addition of stadium lights in 2018 brought night game opportunities to campus for the first time in our school’s history.
Larry Bogenschutz Gymnasium & Jerry Doerger Court
The Larry Bogenschutz Gymnasium, home of the Jerry Doerger Court, is utilized by our basketball, volleyball, and cheer programs. The gym seats more than 1,200 fans and hosts a variety of sporting and school-wide events.
Baseball & Softball Fields
As a part of the Paradise complex and running adjacent to Penn Station Stadium, the baseball and softball fields share many of the same amenities and views as The Penn. Plans for new dugouts, bleachers, and new playing surface for the softball field are in the works.
Sports Performance Center
The Sports Performance Center is a training and practice facility for every on-campus sport. It includes a state-of-the art weight room that is utilized by our athletes for strength and conditioning work and additional locker room space.
Off-Campus Facilities
We also utilize some of the finer facilities in the Greater Cincinnati Area, including Stillmeadow Country Club and Reeves Golf Course for our boys golf program, Little Miami Golf Course for our girls golf program, the Lindner Family Tennis Center at Lunken Playfield for our tennis teams, and Cherry Grove Lanes for our bowling teams.
