September 25 Shadow Season Begins (8th grade only)
Experience how awesome it is to be a Rocket for a day! Future Rockets will learn more about McNicholas by being personally escorted by one of our trained Ambassadors as the students observe a dynamic academic day. Also, students will be treated to lunch, and will dine with their host and other Rockets in our Café and Student Union. Students will also interview with a member of our Admissions Committee during their day. Space is limited each shadow day in order to give our guests the personal attention they deserve. October 2 Grade School Night, Rockets vs. Roger Bacon (Women’s Volleyball), 4:30 p.m./5:30 p.m./6:30 p.m.

October 3 SAIL Information Session, 6-7 p.m.
This session will provide an overview of the support and accommodations provided for students accepted into our SAIL program. October 3 Prospective Parent Information Night, 7-8 p.m.
This engaging evening is designed for parents to mingle with other prospective parents and school faculty and staff, explore what McNicholas has to offer, and learn why a co-education high school better supports your child’s future. To RSVP, click here.

Families of students in 6th -8th grade will choose from one of our unique “Pick Your Path” personalized tours. Each tour will be led by a student Ambassador. Students of all ages and families are invited to join us for a “spooktacular” evening of music. Grade school students will receive a special treat!
November 2 Entrance Exam/HPST Accommodations Request Due
In order to receive accommodations on the HSPT, your child must already be receiving the requested accommodations, and it must be noted on a formalized IEP/ISP. For qualified students, we will provide the following accommodations: Extended Time (50%), Reader, Large Print. Due to staffing availability, we cannot accommodate a 1:1 ratio. Approved students will receive accommodations for all sections of the test. To request accommodations, please contact your grade school principal for a request form. Students in public schools can contact the Admissions Office for a request form. All requests must be submitted to the Admissions Office by November 3. Any late requests will not be considered for the official testing date.
November 6 Future Thespian “Behind The Scenes” Event, 6-8 p.m.

November 30 Theatre I Audition Request Due
Students who wish to register for Theatre I as a freshman must audition. Auditions will be held by on December 4 and 5, by appointment only. To request an audition, click here.
December 5 Last Day to Shadow for 2018
· Grade School Records Due. Catholic school students will request records through the grade school. Public school students should request records to be mailed to the admissions office.
· Online Art Portfolio due for 8th graders wishing to register for Foundation Art as a freshman.
December 9, Lessons & Carols, 7 p.m., Guardian Angels Parish
Lessons and Carols will feature the very dedicated and talented McNicholas High School Liturgy Choir under the direction of Dr. Loretta Graner. This year will feature selections of Celtic music, Pentatonix, and more. Future Rockets will receive a special Christmas treat for attending!

January 29 Last Look Open House for undecided 8th grader families, 6-7:30 p.m.
This evening is designed to help undecided families make their final decision before registering for high school. School administrators and other faculty, including athletics will be available for questions.
January 31 Class of 2023 Registration Night
Students and families will enjoy a fun evening of becoming a Rocket! You’ll receive your special class T-shirt and have a personalized one-on-one meeting with a faculty member to select your courses for freshman year.
April TBD Experience the Arts Night
Future painters, potters, sculptures, singers, actors, and musicians are invited to experience the arts—McNicholas style. Students will receive a special gift for attending this inspiring event.
May 3 Rocket Launch! 6-8 p.m.
Future Rockets in 6th and 7th grade are invited to enjoy an evening of fun activities with McNicholas Ambassadors and enjoy a pizza dinner. A special parent social with “grown up” fare will be held at the same time. Parents can relax, meet other future Rocket parents, and tour our facility.
