HSPT

The Archdiocese of Cincinnati requires all 8th grade applicants to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT).

The HSPT for 8th graders entering high school in the 2027-2028 school year will take place on Saturday,  November 21, 2026.  

Registration takes place through the Archdiocese of Cincinnati's registration site (Scholastic Testing Services) and is anticipated to open on August 1, 2026. There is a $30 fee to register. Students may take the HSPT at any participating Catholic high school and indicate three schools in which to send their scores. A registration link will be posted here on August 1.

HSPT Test Prep at McNicholas

McNicholas is offering test prep for the HSPT this summer and in the fall.  Registration for the summer course is now open through our summer camp registration site.
