McMakerspace

The McMakerspace is our state-of-the-art makerspace that allows students to explore, design, build, and create using physical and virtual tools and materials.

In our McMakerspace, students explore the world with virtual field trips to Mecca. They visit national parks, design and print 3D bird beaks, create and construct game boards and game pieces, and program mini-robots. Students create real world applications for classroom concepts and build perseverance as they experiment, test, evaluate, and modify their creations, and they develop important 21st century skills such as collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking.

The McMakerspace is available daily for classroom use and by individual appointment.  Contact Mrs. Emily Materna or Mrs. Chelsea Almer to arrange a time to use the space or join us weekly after school for Maker Club. During Maker Club, students can work on projects of their choosing or help with projects that faculty, staff, and community members have asked us to complete.  Reach out to Mrs. Emily Materna if you have a project idea or need.
