At McNicholas, students have the benefit of our 1-to-1 tablet program that prepares them for success in life and work in the 21st century.
Our 1-to-1 tablet program plays an important role in our adaptable curriculum, equipping students with the technology and support they need to develop their computer literacy and competency skills, as well as their critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Our technology team provides students with quality support and maintenance of their school-issued tablets. Additionally, our Director of Technology works to ensure that the network is running consistently and that our faculty and staff have the most up-to-date technology in their offices and classrooms. Our Director of Educational Technology works closely with teachers to develop adaptable lessons and to implement best practices for technology integration in the classroom.
With a thriving tablet program already in place, McNick was uniquely positioned to tackle the challenges of March 2020 when the pandemic hit. Our teachers were able to focus on creating innovative lessons for distance learning rather than scrambling to get devices in the hands of the students. Our teachers continue to flex effectively from in-person to distance learning as needed.
