International Programs
Expand your world and enrich your education through McNicholas' global enrichment and cultural exchange programs.
McNicholas High School’s International Programs offer students the chance to broaden their horizons through immersive travel and cultural exchanges. By participating in programs that span across Europe, Asia, and beyond, students engage with different cultures, practice new languages, and experience global education firsthand. These enriching opportunities foster personal growth, build lasting friendships, and help students develop the leadership skills and global awareness needed to thrive in today’s interconnected world.
Global Enrichment Programs
Global Enrichment Programs empower students to become visionary global leaders through immersive, hands-on experiences in art, architecture, language, and international business. Whether delving into Art History in iconic European cities, mastering Conversational French in everyday settings, or engaging with diverse cultures firsthand, students gain far more than passport stamps. They develop cultural fluency, sharpen leadership skills, and deepen their understanding of our interconnected world.
These transformative programs inspire curiosity, broaden horizons, and equip Rockets with the knowledge and empathy needed to lead with insight on the global stage.

Sister School Exchange Programs
The Sister School Program offers a unique opportunity for cultural exchange and language immersion. Students from our sister schools visit McNicholas, where they attend classes, engage in school events, and live with host families, immersing themselves in American culture. This reciprocal exchange provides students with the chance to interact with international peers, enhancing their global perspective and language skills.
McNicholas students are also given the opportunity to visit their partner schools abroad. While they are matched with different students during each exchange, they experience a variety of educational settings, participate in workshops, and engage in cultural activities. This includes exploring historical landmarks, enjoying local festivals, and interacting with new host families, all of which contribute to their fluency and understanding of the language and culture.
The program fosters an ongoing connection between students across the globe, allowing them to build lasting friendships and continue practicing their language skills through online platforms. Participating in the Sister School Program provides students with invaluable international experience, enhances their resumes with language proficiency, and offers personal growth that will benefit them in future academic and professional endeavors.

“I strongly believe in the value of seeing and experiencing different cultures, perspectives, and ways of life. Through the support of the McNick community, Ms. Gaskins, and my parents, I was fortunate to glimpse a completely different lifestyle. I will always be grateful for this enriching experience.”

“Something my husband said a couple of weeks ago caught my attention…
The trip gave my son a reason to put his phone down to see some amazing things in real life. He is a little better now about putting his phone down to avoid missing out on things. Thank you for all that you do."
