Archbishop McNicholas High School's 2017 Homecoming celebrations culminated with the crowing of seniors Mitchell Kling and Haley Adkins as the King and Queen of Homecoming. Principal Patty Beckert bestowed the sashes and crown on Kling and Adkins elected by their peers to represent the class in this capacity.
McNicholas raised about $30,000 in contributions to Walk Day, the annual Homecoming fundraiser. Students started Walk Day with a pep rally celebrating this year's theme, McNicholas Family Game Night, before heading out into the community for a 10K walk. Friday evening, freshmen and sophomores competed in the annual kickball tournament, and junior and senior girls played the traditinal powederpuff football game. The evening concluded with a bonfire and movie sponsored by Student Council.
On Saturday, the Rockets defeated the Carroll Patriots 28-0 on a beautiful football afternoon. The Homecoming Dance was held Saturday night in the main gym.
