Twenty-one McNicholas students experienced new cultures first-hand when they spent a week visiting Paris and London. Highlights in Paris included Notre Dame cathedral, climbing the Eiffel Tower, a cruise on the Seine River, and the Louvre museum. Then they traveled to London on a train under the English Channel. There they visited the Tower of London, cruised on the River Thames, rode in the London Eye, and saw the musical Wicked. Also, they watched Trooping the Colour where they saw Queen Elizabeth parade by them and the entire royal family on the balcony at Buckingham Palace. The trip was chaperoned by Mrs. Julie Dill, Mrs. Renee Herndon, and Mrs. Mary Beth Sandmann.
The travelers were Isabelle Bowling, Anna Brail, Hope Bridgers, Mark Dill, Colin Duncan, Abby Glaser, Tori Gould, Paige Herlevich, Madisen Imbus, Sydney Mallaley, Chloe Maushart, Skylar Maushart, Michael McNamara, Emma Melcher, Abigail Newland, Elise Nyktas, Ian Rose, Whitney Stanforth, Cole Taylor, Brenna Threet, and Ellie White. They were also joined by parent Mrs. Shelley Bowling.
