Archbishop McNicholas High School has launched new messaging in its recruitment campaign for prospective students. The tagline “Explore. Achieve. Succeed.” is designed to communicate strong academics, the customized experience students receive, and achievement toward a student’s full potential. The new message follows three years of the tagline “Be Here. Be You.”
McNicholas worked with the award-winning agency Sanger & Eby to develop the tagline and strategy for delivering the message to prospective students (6th, 7th, and 8th graders) as well as their parents and influencers. Sanger & Eby is a full-service strategic design and development agency in downtown Cincinnati whose client list includes Seton High School, The Seven Hills Schools, Mt. St. Joseph University, and the Ohio Department of Education. They have a strong area of concentration in educational marketing and recruitment.
Development of the recruitment campaign began in February. Sanger & Eby worked closely to align the recruitment goals with the direction provided by the Board of Limited Jurisdiction’s Mission Effectiveness Committee and its strategic planning process. The agency also conducted an analysis of general trends in private school recruitment locally and nationwide before proposing the “Explore. Achieve. Succeed.” option.
The simple, yet powerful three-word theme summarizes the upward direction of each McNicholas student:
Grounded in the message of individuality and freedom to explore and develop strengths, it also ties back to the McNicholas Rocket—a vehicle for exploring the furthest horizons of possibility and potential.
A direct reference to strong academic achievement and the success of McNicholas students in the college market, it invites audiences to challenge their perceptions about McNicholas.
Each student at McNicholas has the opportunity to fulfill their potential in a thought-provoking, creative and supportive environment that sets every student on the path to success, creating the foundation for a full, happy, successful life.
