The McNicholas High School Liturgy Choir performed at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Mercy Hospital Anderson's new hospital wing, chapel and healing garden this past Friday, Sept. 23.
The Liturgy Choir, under the direction of Dr. Loretta Graner and assisted by student conductor senior Jacob Fries, performed two pieces: Circle of Mercy by Jeannette Golia, RSM and I Believe by Mark A. Miller.
Dr. Denver Stanfield who attended the ribbon cutting said in an email to Principal Beckert, “The Liturgy Choir from McNicholas opened the ceremony and was absolutely beautiful! I am honored to be distantly 'attached' to McNicholas! I am honored by the performance of these outstanding students and their talents." Dr. Stanfield is a past parent, long-time supporter of McNicholas, and the leader of the Project Paradise effort.
