In this role, Jorden will provide strategic vision, inspirational team leadership, and general oversight for all of the school’s annual giving, major events, corporate partnerships, and alumni relations.

Jorden has served on the McNicholas Board of Limited Jurisdiction since 2014 with a term as Chair from 2014-2016. In the past year, he led the board’s effort to update the school’s mission statement and draft the Profile of the McNicholas Graduate. Since 1987, Jorden has been Executive Vice President and owner of CMC Mortgage Services, Inc., a financial services company for multifamily, affordable, senior, and healthcare housing.

Coupled with his entrepreneurship and financial services skills are Jorden’s roots and commitment to the Catholic faith and community. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Bishop Fenwick High School, and St. Susanna School. Jorden and his wife Kim have chosen Catholic schools, including McNicholas, for their three children’s education and formation. Jorden is rooted in the McNicholas neighborhood, yet known and connected throughout the city and the region.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have someone who is as capable, successful, and passionate about education – especially McNicholas High School - as John Jorden,” Board Chair Sarah Frank-Fogarty said. “To have added Dave Mueller and now John Jorden to our team in the past year - the future has never looked brighter for McNicholas.”

“John shares my passion for developing McNicholas to even greater strength as a beacon of quality Catholic high school education,” Principal Dave Mueller said. “John will focus on cultivating the partnerships and financial resources to launch McNicholas even more confidently into the future – a future that needs the compassionate leaders McNicholas forms.”
