Heritage Week covers history and mission

John_T._McNicholas.JPGThis week is Heritage Week for all freshmen and new faculty and staff to learn about the history and mission of Archbishop McNicholas High School. Each day, members of the Theology Department have been discussing different aspects of our history and how our past will point us toward the future.

"It is important for our whole community to understand and appreciate our past so that we can proudly move toward our future," Sam Roflow, chair of Archbishop McNicholas High School's theology department, said.  "Our rich heritage with the Sisters of St. Joseph and our namesake Archbishop John T. McNicholas is as important today as ever."

Topics covered are:

  • Monday - "The Sisters of St. Joseph" presented by John Norman
  • Tuesday - "Archbishop McNicholas, the Man" by Sam Roflow
  • Wednesday - "The Growth of the School Over the Years" by Mary Beth Sandmann
  • Thursday - "The Mission from Here" by Jeff Hutchinson Smyth
