Fickell headlines Hall of Fame evening

University of Cincinnati’s head football coach Luke Fickell will speak at the McNicholas High School Hall of Fame inductions on Thursday, February 21. McNicholas will induct Chuck Moore ’00 (football, baseball) and Lauren Clark Johnson ’11 (cross country, track & field) into the Hall of Fame and recognize Tony Fehring ’67 as a Good Fellow that evening.

Veteran defensive coordinator and Ohio native Luke Fickell was named the University of Cincinnati’s head football coach in December 2016. Fickell is an experienced 18-year coaching veteran with an impressive resume that includes being on the staff of two national championship teams and seeing 12 of his players selected in the NFL draft. As head coach of the Bearcats for the last two seasons, Fickell has a 15-10 record, 11-2 (6-2 AAC) in 2018 with a victory in the Military Bowl against Virginia Tech. The 11-win season was only the third such season in the history of University of Cincinnati’s program. Fickell was given the AAC Coach of the Year honor for the season.

Doors open at 6 p.m for cash bar with dinner at 7 p.m. by Carraba’s. The event will be held in the McNicholas High School Café and Student Union.
