McNicholas is proud to announce our Scholastic Art Award winners for 2019:
• Senior McKenzie Miller –Two Gold Keys and one Silver Key in painting
• Senior Julia Smith--Gold Key in drawing and three Honorable Mentions in illustration
• Senior Evan Cheevers --Silver Key in drawing and illustration
• Senior Carlie Suttles--Silver Key in photography
• Senior Christina Poole--Honorable Mention in painting
• Sophomore Olivia Rohling--Honorable Mention in mixed media
Nearly 5,000 works of art were submitted from schools in Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky, and Southeast Indiana. Works were judged on originality, technical skills, and the emergence of personal vision or voice. Their work will be part of the Regional Exhibition at the Art Academy of Cincinnati from January 28 – February 8.
