Senior wrestler signs letter of intent to DI school
Congratulations to student athlete Pierce Taylor who celebrated his intent to continue his athletic career as a Division I wrestler at Ohio University. Pierce is a decorated three-sport athlete and is currently ranked in the Ohio Top 20 for the Class of 2022 wrestlers.
Pierce’s wresting accolades include: 2-time GCL CoEd Wrestler of the Year; 2-time Southwest Ohio Wrestling Coaches Association Wrestler of the Year; 3-time Sectional Champion; District Champion; 2-time State qualifier; top 8 placer at the renowned Pennsylvania Powerade National Invitational; 2021 OHSAA 3rd place finisher at the State Championship.
In addition to wresting, Pierce is also a four-year member of the football and baseball programs. He is both an athlete and a scholar, having carried honor roll status throughout his high school career with an overall GPA of 3.9. He is a member of the National Honor Society, the National Society of High School Scholars, and a McNicholas Student Body Vice President.
Congratulations to our newest graduates who received their diplomas at the MegaCorp Pavilion on Sunday, May 21.The Class of 2023 nominated Alex Reed to deliver the welcome and Student Body President Autumn Strebel to share her thoughts about the spirit and experience of their class.
At McNicholas, students are consistently challenged to achieve their academic best. Congratulations to all our Rockets who stepped up to the challenge this year. They were recognized at our annual Academic Awards ceremony on Friday, May 13.
