Scholastic Art Awards results are in! We are thrilled to celebrate the incredible talent of our students.

We received the results from the Scholastic Art Awards, and we are thrilled to celebrate the incredible talent of our students.

This year, McNicholas students earned multiple regional honors across a variety of artistic disciplines, showcasing their creativity, skill, and dedication.

Most excitingly, Madison McPherson '26 earned a Gold Key for her work, Contact Solution Dispenser & Holder in Architecture & Industrial Design. This top regional honor advances her work to the National Scholastic Art Awards competition, an outstanding achievement and a proud moment for our school community!

Additional student recognitions include:

  • Reilly Mountel '26 received a Silver Key for the photography piece Concert, under the guidance of Sarah Nestheide.

  • Jonah Dorich '29 earned an Honorable Mention for the sculpture The Struggles to Success.

All awarded pieces will be on display downtown at the Art Academy, giving the public a chance to experience our students’ exceptional work firsthand.

Hearts Across Hemispheres: McNicholas Families Welcome Argentina Home

For five unforgettable weeks this winter, the hallways of McNicholas High School echoed with new voices, new laughter, and a new language. Our school made history by hosting our first-ever exchange students from Las Nieves High School in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In doing so, we discovered something profound. Home is not just a place. It is a feeling created by open hearts and open doors.
