Rocket Band wins five first place trophies

Rocket Band wins five first place trophies

The Rocket Marching Band started their competition season off with two strong performances at the Lebanon High School Band Invitational and the Goshen Band Invitational, bringing home trophies as Lebanon’s Fan Favorite and Goshen’s Reserve Grand Champion.

The Rocket band, led by seniors Jack Caccavari, Ethan Koran, Maria Klug, Jake Klug, and Erin McManus, performed their 2021 show which features the music of Carlos Santana, including “Novus,” “Everybody's Everything,” “Smooth,” “Black Magic Woman,” “Neshabur,” and “(De La) Yaleo.” The show also features a trumpet solo by Jack Caccavari and a trombone solo by Ethan Koran.

At the Goshen Invitational, they won First Place trophies in five categories: Band, Music, General Effect, Percussion, and Visual Performance. They also finished second overall, regardless of class, winning Reserve Grand Champion.

The Rocket Band competes at Colerain on October 16, West Clermont on October 30, and in the Mid State Championship on November 6.

    The McNicholas Theatre Department proudly announces its upcoming performance of Hope Springs. The play will run November 6-8 at McNicholas High School in the Jeanne Spurlock Theatre.
