McNicholas science courses featured in Catholic Telegraph
McNicholas made the cover of the January issue of The Catholic Telegraph for its Culinary Chemistry and Food Science courses that foster “an appreciation of God’s gift of food and the know-how behind it.”
Teacher and course architect Mrs. Jessica Boese ’11 said, “I have always loved the science of food…I developed the curriculum alongside a lot of food science professionals and professors. Our labs are not with beakers or test tubes, they’re with food. The kids really like it.”

For five unforgettable weeks this winter, the hallways of McNicholas High School echoed with new voices, new laughter, and a new language. Our school made history by hosting our first-ever exchange students from Las Nieves High School in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In doing so, we discovered something profound. Home is not just a place. It is a feeling created by open hearts and open doors.

The Altiora Chapter of the National Honor Society inducted 47 new members during its annual induction ceremony held on Thursday, January 29.

Thirty-two students earned Gold Key, Silver Key, or Honorable Mention honors in this year’s regional Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Sophomores Vivian Lipps and Meghan Runte and senior Kaelin Timko received Gold Keys, the highest regional honor, and will advance to the national level competition.
