McNicholas Hosts a Hollywood Homecoming

Rockets are rolling out the red carpet to celebrate Homecoming like movie stars the weekend of September 20-21.

We will kick off the celebration with a Homecoming Pep Rally on Friday, Sept. 20. Weather permitting, the pep rally will be held at Penn Station Stadium beginning at 11:25 a.m. and will include a tailgate lunch. Parents are welcome to join us. Students will be dismissed at 1 p.m.

The celebration will continue as the Rockets take on the Purcell Marian Cavaliers during the Homecoming football game at Penn Station Stadium. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. Students are able to enter the game for free with their student IDs. Tickets for friends and family will be $7 during presale and $10 at the gate.

All McNicholas students are invited to the Homecoming dance on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 8-11 p.m. on campus in the Bogenschutz Gym. Dance tickets are $17 each and are available for purchase online here. Tickets will not be sold at the door.

Students are reminded that appropriate dress and behavior, as outlined in the Expectations for Homecoming Dance sent to students via email, are required. Students wishing to bring guests from other schools must complete the Guest Permission Form and return it to Mr. Losekamp.

Students are permitted to be out of uniform in the following themes for the week leading up to Homecoming. They are reminded to dress school appropriate (no masks, weapons, or gore of any kind even if they pertain to the theme) and, if they choose not to follow the theme, they should be in regular uniform.

Hearts Across Hemispheres: McNicholas Families Welcome Argentina Home

For five unforgettable weeks this winter, the hallways of McNicholas High School echoed with new voices, new laughter, and a new language. Our school made history by hosting our first-ever exchange students from Las Nieves High School in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In doing so, we discovered something profound. Home is not just a place. It is a feeling created by open hearts and open doors.
