Get jazzed for a Roaring Twenties Homecoming

Students are strapping on their dance shoes to celebrate a Roaring Twenties themed Homecoming the weekend of September 15-16.

We will kick off the celebration with a Homecoming Pep Rally on Friday, Sept. 15. Weather permitting, the pep rally will be held at Penn Station Stadium beginning at 11:25 a.m. and will include a tailgate lunch. Parents are welcome to join us. Students will be dismissed at 1 p.m. The library will close at 3 p.m.

The celebration will continue as the Rockets take on the Spartans during the Homecoming football game at Penn Station Stadium. Kickoff is 7 p.m. Tickets for the game are $7 presale and will be on sale at school on Wednesday, Sept. 13 and Thursday, Sept. 14 from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and on Friday, Sept. 15 from 8-1 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the gate. Cash only.

All McNicholas students are invited to the Homecoming dance on Saturday, Sept. 16 from 8-11 p.m. on campus in the Bogenschutz Gym. Dance tickets are $15.00 each and are available for purchase during lunches Monday, Sept. 11 through Thursday, Sept. 14. Cash or check only, please. Last chance ticket sales will run until noon on Friday, Sept. 15. Tickets will not be sold at the door.

Students are reminded that appropriate dress and behavior, as outlined in the Expectations for Homecoming Dance sent to students via email, are required. Students wishing to bring guests from other schools must complete the Guest Permission Form and return it to Mr. Losekamp.

Hearts Across Hemispheres: McNicholas Families Welcome Argentina Home

For five unforgettable weeks this winter, the hallways of McNicholas High School echoed with new voices, new laughter, and a new language. Our school made history by hosting our first-ever exchange students from Las Nieves High School in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In doing so, we discovered something profound. Home is not just a place. It is a feeling created by open hearts and open doors.
