French Honor Society Inductees honored for dedication to language studies
Congratulations to the three students who were inducted to The Société Honoraire de Français.
To be inducted in la Société Honoraire de Français, students must have earned at least a 93% in the first two years of French, maintained a minimum 93% average in French III, and have a weighted average of at least 85% in their other subjects. Members are expected to continue their studies in French or be actively engaged in French NHS activities.

For five unforgettable weeks this winter, the hallways of McNicholas High School echoed with new voices, new laughter, and a new language. Our school made history by hosting our first-ever exchange students from Las Nieves High School in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In doing so, we discovered something profound. Home is not just a place. It is a feeling created by open hearts and open doors.

The Altiora Chapter of the National Honor Society inducted 47 new members during its annual induction ceremony held on Thursday, January 29.

Thirty-two students earned Gold Key, Silver Key, or Honorable Mention honors in this year’s regional Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Sophomores Vivian Lipps and Meghan Runte and senior Kaelin Timko received Gold Keys, the highest regional honor, and will advance to the national level competition.
