Tutoring
-
The National Honor Society
members sign up to tutor in the area he/she is most competent in.
-
The NHS moderators compile
a master list of tutors.
-
A envelop is maintained in
the Guidance Office for tutoring requests. Forms must be put in the envelop at least
24 hours before tutoring is expected.
-
The National Honor Society officer in charge of the
tutoring program collects the request forms after 5th period each day.
The tutor will be notified by homeroom the following morning; the tutor is
responsible for setting up the tutoring session with the student who needs
assistance. We encourage the use of the school library as much as
possible.
-
When the session has
occurred, the assisted
student signs the NHS Member Service Log. The National Honor Society
officer in charge keeps a record of tutoring assignments.
