A committee of six faculty members who
have knowledge of the students who are academically eligible for admission
are asked to review their applicants according to the National Honor Society
criteria.
Student moderator reviews the list of
candidates for discipline issues.
Selection meeting procedure:
Each faculty member is asked to review a packet of
activity information forms from eligible students. They are
instructed to set aside any forms they question in any way.
The group discusses any questions that have arisen.
The group reaches agreement on those candidates
considered to be eligible for admission and on those considered to not be
eligible.
The moderators of National
Honor Society meet with candidates determined to be ineligible and encourage them to reapply in a
year.
Moderators of National Honor Society
inform those students of their acceptance and the induction ceremony time
and date.
