A substantial source of funding to both the Athletic Boosters and the general athletic department budget comes from the proceeds of the Sunday night bingo operation. The Boosters receive 17% of the net, which is our largest revenue source. The remainder goes to the Athletic Director, and represents his second largest income stream.

As with any venture of this scale, the bingo requires a significant support staff to keep it running smoothly and profitably. The primary positions (i.e., Floor Manager, Banker, Caller, etc…) are staffed by members of the Booster Board of Directors. They work on teams that are assigned to a specific week of each month. Other jobs require the assistance of the parents of student athletes. Things such as working the snack bar, paymaster, and selling pull-tabs on the floor can only be done with the resources of these parent volunteers. As specified in the student handbook, parents of student athletes are required to help at one bingo during the year, per athlete, per sport. For example, if you have two student athletes that each plays two different sports, you would be assigned four times during the year.

The proceeds derived from the bingo are crucial to the financial stability of our athletic programs and facilities. We thank the parents who regularly do their part to keep the bingo a robust source of income to meet those needs.
