Itinerary:                                       

Day 1-2 :
Fly overnight to Europe. Touch down on Day 2 in Madrid, capital of Spain. Here you’ll meet your bilingual EF Tour Director. On our EF walking tour, stroll from the Puerta del Sol to the Renaissance Plaza Mayor, once the arena for dramatic bullfights. Visit the Prado Museum.
Day 3-4 :
On your guided sightseeing tour of Madrid, view the city’s major landmarks and visit the Royal Palace. On Day 4, stop in Moorish-influenced Zaragoza for a lunch break and visit the El Pilar Basilica. Transfer to Barcelona, where you’ll spend the night.


Day 5 :
On your guided tour of the city, ascend Montjuďc Hill and see La Sagrada Familia, Gaudí’s unfinished cathedral. Wander down Las Ramblas on our EF walking tour and stroll through the 14th-century Barrio Gótico. Then opt to attend a lively traditional flamenco dance performance.
Day 6-7 :
Your tour director leads you through Carcassonne as you travel through the scenery of Provence. On Day 7, continue to the French Riviera. Stop at the Palais des Papes in Avignon before strolling through Nice’s Vieille Ville and along the Promenade des Anglais.
Day 8-9 :
See Pisa’s cathedral and baptistery, as you make your way to Florence. On Day 9, view the artistic and architectural highlights of Florence during your guided stroll. Then see artisans at work at a demonstration at a local leather workshop.
Day 10-11 :
Pay tribute to native saints Francis and Clare as you travel through their hometown of Assisi. Arrive later in Rome and join our orientation tour through ancient Rome. On Day 11, join our guided excursion to Vatican City to see St. Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel. Afterwards, continue to the Colosseum and Forum Romanum.
Day 12-13 :
Extend your stay two days to visit the ancient city of Pompeii, then stunning Sorrento and Capri.
Day 14 :
Depart for home.
