High School Placement Test
All 8th grade students interested in enrolling at McNicholas are required to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT). The HSPT is administered by all of the high schools in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012.
Students may register to take the test at any location convenient to them, as long as they are eligible to apply for admission to that school. Families may choose to send the scores to as many as three high schools.
Pre-register for the test by completing the HSPT Registration Form. The cost of the test is $30 and registration is due by Thursday, Nov. 15.
On the day of the test, arrive between 7:30-7:45 a.m. for check-in. The test begins at 8 a.m. and ends at approximately 11:30 a.m.
A Parent Information Meeting is available in the library on Nov. 17 from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 p.m. Please feel free to join us for a question and answer session before you pick up your student.

Extended time is offered as an accommodation to those who require it, provided the following paperwork is submitted by Friday, Nov. 2, 2011:
Test Preparation occurs on a daily basis through the normal eighth grade curriculum, by practicing mental math skills, and by reading above grade level. However, some students are interested in further preparation for the HSPT.
