Accomplishments

2011-2012

  • At the Buckeye Classic held at the Ohio State University, Marching Band and Color Guard took first place in Overall Visual Performance and first place in percussion.  Overall, they ranked third out of 9 competing bands.

2010-2011

  • David Wiesenhahn (’12) participated in the Actor’s Studio Program, a year-long regional acting seminar and development program that is highly competitive.
  • Chelsea Wirthlin (’11) and Andrea Bridges (’12) won “Critic’s Choice” in duet musical at State Thespian Conference.
  • Marching Band Excellent Rating at Bands Of America Grand National Competition
  • Woodwind Choir Superior Rating OMEA Solo & Ensemble
  • Brass Choir Superior Rating OMEA Solo & Ensemble
  • Percussion Ensemble Superior Rating Solo & Ensemble
  • Best Music 2010 St. Patricks Day Parade

2009-2010

  • Performance of Nunsense, a musical theatre faculty fundraiser for the theatre department
  • The first eastside Cincinnati production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
  • Marching Band: MSBA 11th place Semi-Finalist

  • Brass Choir: Superior Rating OMEA Solo and Ensemble

  • Woodwind Choir: Excellent Rating OMEA Solo and Ensemble

  • Percussion Ensemble: Excellent Rating OMEA Solo and Ensemble
  • “Critics’ Choice” Awards in Duet Musical, Group Musical, Individual Mime, and Sound Design at the OEdTA State Conference in March 2010

2008-2009

  • You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown which went on to main stage at Ohio State Thespian Conference
  • Charlie Brown also was performed at 2 Cincinnati inner city schools and at Anderson Center
  • “Critics’ Choice”  Awards for Group Musical and Duet Musical at the OEdTA State Conference in March 2009
  • Marching Band: Superior Rating OMEA State band finals, MSBA 5th place Finalist, Excellent Rating Bands Of America Grand Nationals
  • Concert Band: Excellent Rating OMEA District
