Events and Accomplishments
Honor Societies
On April 24, 2012, the World Languages Department installed the newest members of la Société Honoraire de Français, the National Junior Classical League Latin Honor Society, and the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánia. The evening’s induction ceremony was the first time all three languages shared together in inducting new members. Mrs. Sandra Ibanez, former McNicholas Spanish teacher, was the guest speaker. Several world language students from McNicholas High School attained national recognition for excellent performance on the 2012 National Spanish Examinations.

Trip to Spain
In the summer 02 2011, twenty McNicholas students joined Spanish teacher Kyle Jepson and science teacher Lauren Wulker on a trip around Spain. The group visited Madrid, Cordoba, Costa de Sol, Seville, and Granada and then finished in the major cities of Valencia and Barcelona.
The twenty students included 2011 graduates Nora Vonder Muelen, Brian Burke,
and Austin Baurichter; current seniors Brenna Hartwell, Kara Frey, Rosie Daly,
Erica Luedtke, Elizabeth Zofkie, Sydney Adams, Haley Stultz, Dillon Stanfield,
Brad Rolfes, Justin McCall, Ben Sullivan, Brian Schlagheck, and Charlie Jorden;
and juniors Courtney Dunne, Katie Weiler, Alison Meineke, and Katelyn Meakin. ![]()
