Homework assignments are completed and turned in on time. No late work will be accepted and a zero will be entered for that particular assignment. Late assignments due to absence must be turned in the next day back to school. If you have been absent for several days an extension due date may be given. Any test or quiz that is missed during an absence is to be made up within three days of returning to school. |

Spend at least 15 minutes each night reviewing and studying vocabulary and class notes. If you are having difficulty understanding the material, please come see me a.s.a.p. so that I can help you. Please do not come in the day of a quiz or test and say that you do not understand the material. Always be prepared for pop quizzes, assigned quizzes and tests. |

Please feel free to ask questions relevant to the lesson being presented. Questions regarding your own personal concerns about assignments, grades etc. must wait until after class. |

Participation is extremely important during class activities. Participation includes being involved in class assignments and TPR activities, being prepared for class, trying to respond to questions, being attentive, showing interest, raising hand to speak, and good behavior. Students should try to speak the language as much as possible during class time. A daily assessment of participation will be taken each day to allow for each student to be called on at least 1 time per day (if not more). Students will not be penalized for incorrect answers. |

Do your own work. Do not use translators, the Internet or others to do assignments, essays or projects. Cheating and/or plagiarism will result in a “0” for that assignment, your parents will be called and a discipline referral written. Please give no reason for me to suspect cheating during quizzes or tests. Eyes on your own papers. There is absolutely no talking. Stay in your seats until all tests are collected at once. If you have a question, raise your hand. If you finish early, turn your paper over and sit quietly. |
Métodos y Actividades (Methods and Activities): Learning a language can be both fun and rewarding. I believe in using a variety of teaching methods, so be prepared to engage in many different types of activities. You will learn lots of vocabulary, culture, grammar, and geography. You will do some reading, writing, speaking, and listening comprehension. We'll have also have group activities, online activities in the language lab, web quests, skits, Spanish-language films, music, games and if your class is working hard, an occasional fiesta! ☺
