Admissions Policy – Class of 2012
Application for admission to the McNicholas Class of 2012 is open to
all eligible students.
Students will be accepted in the following order of priority:
Priority #1:
Catholic students who are members of an Archdiocese parish and are
enrolled in an Archdiocese school who are in good standing
(academically, behaviorally, financially), and who have complied
with our entrance procedures (taken the placement test, registered,
etc.) in a timely fashion.
Priority #2:
Catholic students who are members of an Archdiocese parish but are
not enrolled in an Archdiocese school who are in good standing in
their parish and current school, and who have complied with our
entrance procedures in a timely fashion.
Priority #3:
Students who have had a relative attend McNicholas.
Priority #4:
Catholic students from public schools in good standing in their
current school.
Priority #5:
Students whose admission would better the cultural and
socio-economic diversity of McNicholas and are in good standing in
their current school.
Priority #6:
Public school or other non-Catholic students whose records show that
they desire the challenge of a McNicholas education.
A
student desiring to enter McNicholas after the freshman year must
demonstrate by background (self-discipline, family support, and
academic record) the ability to achieve. Transfer students are
admitted under a separate process.
Archbishop
McNicholas High School reserves the right to grant exception for
admission due to special needs or circumstances. Archbishop
McNicholas High School admits students of any sex, race, color,
national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and
activities generally accorded to students at the school. Archbishop
McNicholas High School does not discriminate on the basis of sex,
race, color, national and ethnic origin.
