John
Kirchgassner
Graduated from Marian College with a B.A. in History and from Xavier
University with a Masters of Education.
Started at
McNicholas in 1972. Mr. Kirchgassner is currently teaching Advanced
Placement European History, Native American Studies, and Advanced
Placement U.S. History. Mr. Kirchgassner also serves as the Social Studies
Department Co-Chair.
Tristan Blackburn
Graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a B.A. in History
Education. Started at McNicholas in 2007. Mr. Blackburn is
currently teaching American Civilization I and II. In addition to
his teaching responsibilities, Mr. Blackburn is the Head Freshman
Football Coach, Asst. Varsity Football Coach, and Asst. Track and
Field Coach.
Pat Stricker
Graduated from Wilmington College in 1989. Started at
McNicholas in 2000. Mr. Stricker is currently teaching American Civilization
I, American Civilization IA and American Civilization II. In
addition to his teaching responsibilities, Mr. Stricker is also the
assistant coach for Varsity Boys' Basketball and the head Women’s
Golf coach.
Frank
Lowden
Graduated from Northern Kentucky
University in 2000 with a B.A. in Social Studies. Started at McNicholas
in 2002. He is currently teaching AP US Government,
World History and Introduction to Legal Procedures. In addition to
his teaching responsibilities, Mr. Lowden is the coach for the Mock
Trial Team and also serves as the Social Studies
Department Co-Chair.
Tim Monahan
Graduated from Northern Kentucky University in 2004 with a B.A.
degree in Secondary Social Studies. Began teaching at McNicholas in
2004 and currently teaching World History as well as American
Civilization (1900 – present). In addition to his teaching
responsibilities, Mr. Monahan is also the head Varsity Women’s
basketball coach. Mr. Monahan lives in Northern Kentucky with his
wife (Erin) and two boys, Dylan (4 yrs) and Ethan (3 yrs).
Mr. Paul Romolo
Graduated from Xavier
University in 2008 with a B.A. in Classics and English. This is his
first year teaching at McNicholas. He is currently teaching American
Civilization II. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Mr.
Romolo is an assistant coach for both the varsity and freshman
football teams.
