Mentors
for Science and Health-Related Careers
In the past four years approximately 200 McNicholas alumni (and
several non-alumni spouses) have volunteered to be a resource to
current McNicholas students as they consider colleges, majors,
and future careers, and/or to direct students to information as
they research topics for their academic courses at McNick. Mrs. Gwyn Bush, science department co-chair, coordinates this
program. The most frequent form of communication is email; the
student’s question gets to the mentor quickly and in a manner
that least invades the mentor’s professional time. This also
means the mentors do not have to be in Cincinnati. Mentors
provide their preferred contact information.
This program is always a work in
progress. Any alumnus wishing to be added to the list can call
Mrs. Bush any time at 513-231-3500, ext. 5180, or email her at
gbush@mcnhs.org.. Hearing from
students is a great way to keep up with your high school!
