Mrs. Donna
Bambach,
M.A., serves as Chair of the Religion Department at McNicholas.
Donna received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Edgecliff
College and her Masters of Arts in Theology from the Athenaeum of
Ohio. Donna began her teaching career at McNicholas in 1991. She
currently teaches Hebrew Scriptures to Freshmen, Morality to
Sophomores, and Christian Lifestyle to Seniors.

Ms. Sarah Dodds,
B.A., is a graduate of the College of
Mount Saint Joseph, where she received degrees in Religious Pastoral
Ministry, Religious Education, and Art. Ms. Dodds is teaching Hebrew
Scriptures and Christology to freshmen. She is also serving as
Campus Minister with responsibility for liturgies, prayer services,
and retreats. Ms. Dodds came to McNicholas in 2003. She leads the
Youth Exercising the Spirit (YES!) Liturgy Committee, the Kairos
program, and she serves as a senior class moderator. Ms. Dodds can
be found in the Campus Ministry Office in Upper Marian hallway.

Mr. Jeff
Hutchinson-Smyth,
B.A., studied Theology, Philosophy, and Classical Languages at
Xavier University as a member of the Honors Bachelor of Arts
program. In his ninth year of teaching at McNicholas, Jeff is
teaching Christology to freshmen, Media and Values to juniors and
Social Justice to seniors. Jeff was an organizer for the Habitat
for Humanity service-learning experience during the summer of 2008.
He will serve as an adult leader for both the Appalachia Retreat and
for Journey to Justice, as the faculty participant in Voices of the
Future, and as a member of Faculty Council.

Mr. John Norman,
M.A., received his Bachelor of Arts in Theology from the University
of Dayton, and then attended Wright State University to earn a
Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling. John began teaching at
Alter High School in 1976, and then joined the faculty of McNicholas
in 1980. He currently teaches Hebrew Scriptures, Christology,
Church History, and Social Justice. John will direct a Kairos
retreat during the 2006-2007 academic year, as well as the Habitat
for Humanity service-learning trip to Louisiana during the summer of
2008.

Mr. M. Sam
Roflow,
M.A., earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from
Xavier University and received a Master of Arts in Religion from the
Athenaeum of Ohio. He has taught for 9 years at McNicholas High
School. Prior to that, he taught and served as Religion Department
Chairperson at Notre Dame Academy. Sam teaches Morality,
Christology, and Media & Values. Sam serves as the Community
Service Coordinator and as head of Service Club.

Mrs. Mary Beth
Sandmann,
B.A., received her Bachelor of Arts from Edgecliff College of Xavier
University and is currently working toward a Masters degree. She
previously taught at Cardinal Pacelli School and in Special
Programs. Mary Beth has been teaching at McNicholas for 15 years,
and currently teaches Lifestyles, Sacramental Living, Art
Appreciation, and Fibers/Printmaking in the department of Art. She
has served on the Mardi Gras celebration committee at McNicholas
since 1995 and she serves as the moderator for the Art Club and as a
member of the Kairos Board.

Mrs. Paula Yerke,
M.A.,
received her Bachelor of Science degree from Marquette University
and her Master of Arts degree in Religion from the Athenaeum of
Ohio. Paula is teaching Hebrew Scriptures and Christology to
freshmen, Church History to sophomores, and Sacramental Living to
juniors. This is her 16th year of teaching, and her
seventh year at McNicholas High School.
