Advanced Placement...
Archbishop McNicholas offers AP courses in English, Physics,
American History, European History, Comparative and U.S. Government, Calculus,
Biology, Music Theory, Studio Art, Computer Science, French,
Spanish, and Latin. The program is designed to challenge the
superior students and provide them with the opportunity to earn
college credit while still in high school.
The purpose of the Advanced Placement Program at Archbishop
McNicholas High School is to enable academically capable and highly
motivated students to complete rigorous college level courses during
the secondary school years.
Enrollment in Advanced Placement Program courses instills a sense of
scholarship in the student and an appreciation of the intrinsic
value of devoting oneself to the pursuit of knowledge. Success in
the Advanced Placement Program is achieved through dedication to
excellence on the part of teachers, students, parents, counselors,
and administration.
Advanced Placement Exam Orders
AP students need to order the appropriate exams
between now and February 1. Simply print the
AP
Exam Order Form, fill it out and return it to your AP teacher.
After February 1, see Mrs. Goines (room 11) with any questions or
concerns about AP exams. Note that all exams are ordered on one
form, so students will be turning the form into only one teacher,
even if they will be taking several exams.
